The First Impression - "R vs P"

Gin and R are tired after playing basket ball. Of course Gin has no idea how to play it and so mostly watches R and others play by sitting in the gallery near the court. (But it must be mentioned to the reader that Gin is in perfect sports outfit though he dosen't even qualify as a refree of the game). Occasionally Gin enters the court silently and does some tricks with the ball by throwing it up and down, back and forth. When that happens, it should be easy to guess that some pretty girl is looking down from the window of the fourth floor of the ladies hostel that stands adjacent to the basket ball court.

The game for the day is over and Gin and R walk towards the thatha shop as usual.

Gin : Thatha, innaikku enna special

Gin : Paavam avarukku kaadhu kekkadhu... indha vayasaana kaalathula eppadi dhaan indha kadayila vela paakaraaro.

R : dei.. kekkara maari ketta figurey ok sollum... after all thatha badhil solla maataara... ippo naan kekkaren paaru... thathaa... innaikku enna special.

Thatha: modhalla 200 rooba baakiya koduthuttu pesuda ****

Gin : vidu machan... stack la indha avamanatha push pannikko.... ellathayum oru naal sethu vechu pop panniduvom

R : dei... namma thatha da .... ivaru kitta vaangaradhelaam oru avamaanamaa
Gin : adhu ennamo seri dhaan.... nee 'P' kitta vaangaradhayey avamaanamaa nenaikka maatengara... idhaya nenaikka pora
R : Dei... avala pathi pesaadhadaaa
Gin : Yen da... nethu night 1 mani varaikkum msg anupichikittu irundhiyey daa
R : avala pathi pesaadhannu solren illa
Gin : Seri ok...


They eat cream bun, drink fruit beer and start walking back to hostel.
A minute of silence prevails.

R : aanaalum avalukku romba dhaan idhu daa...
Gin : ""

R : dei... seri vidu avala pathi pesa vendaamnu sollittu naaney pesaren.
Gin : naan dhaaney pesa koodadhu nnu sonna... nee pesu da
R : enna pesaradhu?
Gin : hmmm.... seri ava unna yen avamaana padutharaannu kandupikavaa?
R : ennatha nee kandupudichi...ennatha senji....
Gin : dei... naan ponnunga vishayathula killaadi da... adha nee purinjikka maatengara...
R : Seri da .... sollu paapom....yen ava enna adikadi avamaana padutharaa?
Gin : oru ponnukku oru payyana avamaana paduthanumnu thonudhunna adhukku orey oru kaaranam dhaan irukkum....
R : adhu ennavaam?
Gin : First meeting.... nee ava kitta mudhal murai pesum podhu enna nadandhadhunnu sollu... adhula irundhey easiya kandupudichidalaam....
R : Mudhal muraiyaaa..... (Thinks) ..... dei.... mudhal murai pesum podhu bayangara impression create panninen daa... appo onnum perusaa nadakkala...
Gin : Nee enna nadandhadhunnu sollu.... adhu perusaa illiyaannu naan solren....

special class on ' basic C programming' especially for 12th std biology students....
R and P sitting on the same row...
A few minutes of break before class will commence...

R: "hi"
P: a quarter smile.
R: "my name is R"

P:"ok"
R:"nee chennai yaa"
P:"illa"
R:"madurai dhaaney?"

R:" thiruchiyaa??? REC kedaikaliyaa?"
P:"naan coimbatore"
R:"chidambaramaa"
P:"unakku ear problemaa"
R:"ha ha.... "
P:"yenna?"
R:" coimbatore naa nee day schi ... apdidhaaney?"
P: "epdi kandupudicha?"
R: [a triumphant smile] "ha ha"
P: ""

R: "ha ha.... kandippa.... unakku edhavadhu doubt irundhaa...."
P: "sir a kettukaren"
